Using the Fenmore Laundry Rooms
There is a laundry room in the basement of your building with at least 2 washers and dryers and your building key fob will let you in. These upgraded machines can accept credit cards, debit cards as well as coins for payment. In addition, you can now locate available machines or check on the progress of a machine’s cycle — even get text messages when your laundry is done! — with “LaundryView” on your computer or smart-phone.

What is LaundryView?
“LaundryView” is a web-based system that allows you to monitor the status of washers and dryers in connected laundry rooms from any computer with internet access. On your device’s browser go to www.laundryview.com/fenmore and you should see a list of Fenmore buildings under “Find your property or school”.

If you have a smart-phone use a scanning app to scan the QR code shown here and you should connect directly to the LaundryView web page showing a list of the Fenmore laundry rooms. Click on the FAQs tab for details on using LaundryView and setting up Alerts.

When you click on a specific Fenmore laundry room, you will be taken to a page that shows icons for the machines in that location. The icons will be labeled “Available”, “Idle”, “In Use”, or “Unavailable” indicating which machines are free or where they are in their washing/drying cycle.

Using ALERTS in LaundryView
If all the machines are busy in a particular laundry room, you can have LaundryView notify you when a machine becomes avaiable. You will need to set up a free account (with your name, email address, and a password) and be logged in. You can also set it up so that a machine will send you an email or a text message when it has finished. For instructions on how to set up alerts to your computer or smart-phone vist the LaundryView FAQ page at http://laundryview.com/faqs.php.

General tips on using the laundry machines.
  • Use only 1/4 cup of laundry detergent. Too much detergent will cause the washer to detect to many suds and will go into extra rinse cycles causing long run times.
  • Loads that are too small or excessively large will cause washers to go off balance and stop, leaving your clothes too wet for the dryers to dry.
  • If you have a problem with any laundry machine please report it to the Maintenance Office (617) 424-8235. Tell us which building, which number machine it is, and the nature of the problem. If we don't know it’s broken we can’t get it fixed.
  • Be careful not to leave your key fob in the laundry room. If you need to be let into the laundry room to retrieve your key fob after regular business hours (8:00 am–4:30 pm M–F) there is a $100 lockout fee.
  • Do not leave your clothes in the laundry room. Clothes that are left in the laundry for more than 24 hours will be removed and disposed of.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping to keep our laundry rooms in good shape.
